Like many, my past is made up of stepping stones — some planned, others surprising — that have led me to a fulfilling life between France and the UK.
The past 20 years have been a whirlwind of raising children, renovating properties, building businesses, and navigating life’s inevitable challenges. I’ve worked with brilliant business coaches, networked with the best, read some great fun and business books, and grown stronger — both personally and professionally — with each new chapter.
🇬🇧 England
Born and raised in the UK, I grew up in leafy Surrey before heading to Sussex to study Linguistics at the University of Brighton. I later worked in I.T. for a Fortune 500 company, before moving into entrepreneurship. My latest phase has brought me to Somerset, where I’m upskilling and looking to develop a new Anglo-Franco project, enjoying connecting with the local entrepreneurial community.
🇫🇷 France
With a French surname, France has always been in my blood. Over the years, I’ve lived in Île-de-France as an au pair, in Maine-et-Loire as a teacher, and in PACA as the CEO of my own educational companies.
Through my Facebook community group "Côte d'Azur Living", I’ve built a strong support network for the local Anglo population — helping bridge the gap between expat life and French culture.
🧠 Beyond Business
I thrive on learning, music, travel, and meaningful conversation. I dip in and out of book groups, and I love exploring the stories, food, and charm of nearby towns and villages. Travel continues to inspire my work — from Finland’s playful education systems to immersive experiences across Asia, North America, and Australia. These journeys have deepened my passion for student-centred, neurofriendly learning.
Now, as an open nester, with my two children exploring the world, I’m embracing this next season of life alongside my husband. It’s been a life-quake — a significant shift — but after a period of hibernation and reflection, I feel renewed.
In 2025, I’ve moved fully into a remote role: writing books, developing online courses, and researching how AI and EdTech can support language teachers and bilingual families. Alongside this, I plan to continue engaging in community work, making new connections, and exploring new ways of working and living.
I’m energised by change, by connection, and by collaborating with others who want to build something meaningful.
I went to an all-girls school where we were told we could be anything we wanted to be.
Looking back, there were so many great things about it — from debating clubs to theatre. It was at school that my love for French really took off.
I absolutely adored the roleplay exercises and found them a brilliant way to bring the language to life. I was also very competitive and loved team sports, proudly captaining Jupiter House to win the cup in my final year.
I left with A Levels in French, German, and Economics. But by Sixth Form, I was starting to feel restricted. I didn’t enjoy it as much — partly because the subjects I truly wanted to study, like French, Business and Politics, simply weren’t offered at the time at my school.
I genuinely believe that if I’d had access to more engaging and relevant options, I would have thrived.
Still, it was all part of the journey. After school, I spent a gap year in Paris before heading to university near Brighton in Sussex.
These early experiences taught me a lot — not just about education, but about what really engages learners, what doesn't, and what it feels like to be a kinesthetic, hands-on learner in a very academic system.
Having spent 20 years building my business in the South of France and developing strong community roots on the Côte d'Azur, I felt it was time for a change.
One of the great perks of being your own boss is the freedom to shape your work around your life — whether that’s being fully onsite or embracing a more remote, flexible model.
Over the past five years, my team and I have worked hard to establish a strong leadership structure. This allowed me, in 2024, to step back from the frontline and focus on strategic direction.
Today, I work online, supporting families, educators, and education projects across France, the UK, and the wider European community.
I continue to collaborate closely with my French team — leading where needed through regular meetings, 1:1 touchpoints, and key decision-making moments.
Like many modern professionals, with life and work increasingly mobile and the opportunity to be fully remote, this next chapter blends the best of both worlds: the creativity and sunshine of the Côte d’Azur, and the growth, learning, and innovation I’m embracing in the UK and other English-speaking countries.
The next chapter is all about applying everything I’ve learned — as a business owner, parent, educator, and lifelong learner — to new, high-impact projects.
In 2025, I’m focused on writing and publishing two books, launching online courses, and sharing practical tools to help families and educators navigate bilingual learning and the world of EdTech.
My current work includes Grow to Bilingual and AI for English Teachers, two initiatives that combine mindset, modern tools, and years of classroom experience.
I’m also continuing to explore flexible, location-independent ways of working — building bridges between my French foundations and new opportunities in the UK and beyond.
Whether supporting educational teams, mentoring other entrepreneurs, or developing new resources for teachers, my aim is to stay connected to meaningful work that creates value and supports growth — in every sense.
There’s space now for creativity, collaboration, and conversations with like-minded people doing interesting, purposeful things.
That’s what excites me most about what’s ahead.
